Classroom Expectations

My classroom is a democracy where everything is open for reasonable debate, except those principles I am bound by my role to uphold, and which are made clear to everyone in my class.

 

Everyone is in charge of their own learning. I provide the best possible environment for allowing learning to happen. Everyone supports each other's learning as best they can.

 

My classroom is optimistic, about everything, and is a place where light hearts can feel free to express and ask whatever they need to. It is a place where bad attitudes are faced down or subdued but will stay out of the way of positivity and the need for groups to bolster each other forward.

 

Everything can speak to us in its own way, in my class we will learn to listen. We will all try to know each other, so we may know what tools for learning are at our disposal. I encourage those relationships to deepen so that richer collaboration takes place.
